The potential for severe thunderstorms Wednesday could produce damaging winds, an isolated tornado
A cold front is moving into the Sault region next week and will bring potentially strong thunderstorms. The timing on this front will be critical; if it spawns storms early wednesday they will be weaker. However, if the storms arrive in the afternoon, there is a chance of damaging winds and possibly an isolated tornado.
So when the stormy weather hits this week, pay close attention to the warnings and take cover when dangerous weather approaches.
Sunshine returns on Tuesday with daytime highs around 25°C.
Rain and thunderstorms arrive on Wednesday, with temperatures rising to near 27C. Some of the afternoon thunderstorms may be strong with damaging winds – even an isolated tornado is possible.
Skies will gradually clear on Thursday with daytime highs near 23°C. A few clouds on Friday morning give way to afternoon sunshine with temperatures rising to 26°C.
