Twitter Spaces may be getting a facelift soon

Twitter’s Spaces — the platform’s audio chat room feature — is getting a facelift. The social media platform confirmed that the changes are indeed underway and that they are working on a new Twitter Spaces section within the app itself, but did not reveal any information about the same. But some images reveal the company’s plans to group Spaces based on common interests like music.

A TechCrunch report suggests that Spaces may also get the “Your Daily Roundup” treatment, which, as you might imagine, will be a Spaces collection of people you already follow or would like to listen to. While Twitter did not say that the images shared by TechCrunch were fake, they indicated that they were indeed outdated and inaccurate.

Twitter told TechCrunch that the changes reflect an “initial version” of the new experience and that it could change in the coming days. While the company said it will announce the changes in the near future, there is no time frame for if and when they will be implemented.

A few months ago, Twitter made it easier for those using Spaces to see information like who’s hosting and what topics are being discussed on the space bar.
