Although he promoted the problems of Donald Trump’s platform in his prime-time television show, Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson mocked the former president in private, according to reports in The New York Times.
Carlson, who tops the charts with his inflammatory rhetoric on immigration, white supremacy and substitution theory, has some connection to Trump, although the nature of their relationship is unknown. Carlson has sometimes criticized Trump and his policies, although he has generally promoted his presidency in prime time.
Carlson also influenced Trump’s decision to support JD Vance, Rolling Stone reported, and the former president has appeared regularly on Fox News, including Hannity. But The New York Times reported that Carlson criticized Trump for violating campaign promises on the air and at least once rejected a call from the former president, who called for anticipation of criticism of the foreign policy move.
