The latest monkeypox information from the province shows nine confirmed cases in Durham.
There are a total of 478 cases in Ontario as of August 8.
Public health officials say 75 percent of the cases are still in Toronto.
Fifteen people were hospitalized because of the disease, and two were treated in the intensive care unit.
According to the province’s chief medical officer, Kieran Moore, Ontario’s current strategy for dealing with monkeypox is working and cases appear to be stabilizing.
