Man charged in random attack on Vancouver, BC bus – B.C

A British Columbia man has been charged in a shocking attack on a woman on a city bus on June 20, 2022.

Twenty-seven-year-old Shaquan David Kelly faces an assault charge.

Vancouver police previously released footage of the apparently unprovoked attack.

Transit police said a suspect got onto Marine Drive and Main Street and aggressively approached a woman, shaking his fist and threatening to hit her.

The woman moved to the front of the bus to alert the driver before the suspect punched her in the head and face several times, causing her to fall to the ground.

Kelly is also charged in the July attack on a mother and toddler. Surveillance video captured the suspect knocking the two down on Pender Street, according to police.
