Technical information
Weather system description Environment Canada predicts cooler weather during the long Easter weekend with maximum daytime temperatures of 1 ° to 4 ° C and minimum nighttime temperatures of -1 ° to -5 ° C.
Daytime temperatures will rise again on Tuesday, but will remain below zero at night. Currently, about 5 mm of precipitation is forecast between Monday and Tuesday.

Description of current conditions
Water levels and flows in the region have been significantly increased by ongoing spring snowmelt and recent rainfall. The projected warm temperatures and precipitation will further accelerate the melting of the snow and ice cover on the local water basins, creating additional runoff and increasing levels and flows.
Risks may include significant ice breakdown and fast-moving cold water under rapidly changing conditions.
In addition to hazardous ice conditions in the water basins in the area, there may be localized floods in low-lying areas with a history of floods. Careful monitoring of local forecasts and conditions is recommended.
Residents of the Gule River catchment area have been informed that some areas in the floodplain have reached critical levels for flooding.
Expiry date
