Two lanes are currently closed on the M5 due to an accident between the J8 M50 and the J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham). The movement is currently stalled as emergency services respond.
Traffic maps show more than 10 miles of slow traffic stretching from the Gloucestershire border past Worcester on the north side of the highway.
The Inrix Traffic Monitoring Service said: “Two lanes closed and slow due to an accident on the M5 Northbound between J8 M50 and J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham)”.

This comes as the M5 saw numerous clashes over the weekend on the official holiday, with two trucks colliding on Friday, which unfortunately resulted in the death of a male driver. The accident stopped traffic in both directions between Weston-super-Mar and Burnham.
