Lock up while the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers battle Friday night for last place in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Trey Young and Co. are looking for their second consecutive place after the season, while Cleveland is trying to return for the first time since reaching the finals in 2018. The winner continues to face the most planted Miami Heat in the first round. The loser will focus on their off-season. With one half of the game in Cleveland in the books, the Cavaliers are the ones in control, as they have a double-digit lead over the Hawks, who enter the third quarter.
After defeating the Charlotte Hornets in their first game of play, the Hawks now face the Cavs, which they have won three times in four regular season games. Young had a hard time slowing down, averaging 32.5 points and nine assists in the season series. Jarrett Allen, who missed time with a broken finger, intends to play, which portends the chances of the Cavaliers to move forward. They are 35-21 with Allen and only 9-18 without him – including their loss in a game by the Brooklyn Nets.
