The missing Crie Chelsea Purman woman has been found dead in front of an empty home in Vancouver

More than a year and a half after he disappeared in Vancouver, Chelsea Purman was found dead in front of an empty house, according to police.

The remains of the 24-year-old Cree woman were found in late April on the property of an empty house in the expensive Shawnee neighborhood, according to a written statement from Vancouver police.

Contractors working on a house near Granville Street and West 37th Avenue made the ominous discovery.

“This is not the result that someone wanted. We have always hoped that Chelsea will be found alive and our sympathies are with everyone who knows Chelsea, loves her and hoped that she will return home safely,” said the spokesman. Vancouver Police Sergeant. Steve Addison said in a statement.

Investigators do not believe her death is suspicious.

Purman was reported missing on September 8, 2020. She was last seen by her sister two days earlier, after dinner and drinks on Granville Street in the city center.

The trial found that Purman may have died at the property where she was found the night she disappeared or shortly thereafter, but her remains went unnoticed because the house had been empty for so long, the statement said.

Police say Purman’s family has been informed.

Purman is described as a friendly, fun and caring young woman who loves animals, fashion and music and dreams of attending film school.

Her family organized a public campaign for information about her after her disappearance, pasting posters around the city and hiring a private detective.

They said she was particularly vulnerable to brain injury and her gullible personality.

Her mother, Sheila Purman, expressed concern that police had not notified the public of her daughter’s disappearance within 10 days of her last sighting.
