New York Church crowded with abortion protesters: “I’m killing babies”

Abortion activists descended on an iconic church in New York on Saturday when an anti-abortion group reappeared in its monthly routine of demonstrations in front of a nearby planned parenting clinic.

Activists appeared at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan on Saturday morning, just steps away from a group of abortion protesters who usually walk from the church to a nearby planned parenting site on the first Saturday of each month, according to WNYW-TV.

“I’m killing babies!” a protester shouted as he waved around dolls dressed in bathing suits.

An abortion protester was photographed holding a sign saying “abortion is a gift.” Another sign read: “RIP Jesus, killed by a” awakened “dead father.”

Several pro-life protesters could be seen standing in front of the church.

“We are proud to see members of our Catholic Caucasus @CatholicNYYRC who stand up for their beliefs and the fundamental rights of all unborn Americans,” the New York Young Republican Club tweeted.

The anti-abortion protest comes days after a leaked Supreme Court document suggested Rowe v. Wade was on the verge of being removed from court, sparking unrest across the country by abortion supporters.

A group named Ruth sent us a reference to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, urging abortion advocates to protest in Catholic churches across the country over Mother’s Day weekend.

“Whether you are a ‘Catholic by choice’, a former Catholic, of another faith or no faith, admit that six extremist Catholics have set out to remove Rowe,” the group wrote on Twitter this week. “Stand in or at a local Catholic church, Sun. May 8th. #WarOnWomen #MothersDayStrike.

The New York Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.
