LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – The National Park Service said human skeletal remains were found in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Saturday afternoon.
The National Park Service said the rangers received a report of witnesses to human skeletal remains in Calville Bay around 2pm on Saturday.
Park rangers responded to the call and set a perimeter to restore the remains.
A Clark County medical examiner was contacted to determine the cause of death.
The discovery of these remains comes almost exactly a week after a body was found in a barrel on Lake Mead on Sunday afternoon. This discovery was close to the launching of a boat in Hemenway Harbor. The body may date back to the 1980s.
