Bono, Jill Biden and Justin Trudeau visit Ukraine

Here’s a sign that the tide could turn in Ukraine – Bono, First Lady Jill Biden and even Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited this weekend … a very pleasant surprise.

The trio didn’t seem to be traveling together, but they were all available on weekends in different parts of the war-torn country to lift the mood for Mother’s Day … albeit in different ways.

The U2 frontman, for example, performed impromptu downstairs at a metro station in Kyiv with The Edge – singing in front of a relatively small crowd that had gathered … but still blew their minds. He even did a duet with the Ukrainian singer Taras Topolia!

As cool as it was … it was Dr. Biden’s visit that might have been the most meaningful. She met President Zelensky’s wife, Olena Zelenska, at a school in Uzhhorod … marking the first time the Ukrainian FL has been public since February. She was hiding.

The visit was unannounced, which made it even more special. She met with refugees earlier in the week in different parts of Europe – but no one expected her to go to the country itself … and yet here she is handing out flowers to Mrs Zelenska.

Finally, there was the Commander-in-Chief of Canada himself … Prime Minister Trudeau was in Irpen and Kyiv, taking on the devastation and devastation – and he even met with Zelensky himself.

As we said … the fact that these world leaders are there is a signal that things can finally calm down. There is no way to send Trudeau or Biden if the intelligence of their respective countries thought there was a chance they were in danger – that’s a good sign.

More and more high-profile people have been leaving for Ukraine recently … including Angelina Jolie, who left last week. We hope that normalcy can be restored sooner or later.
