Clark and Pritchard shine: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 for Sunderland players

Sunderland will face Wycombe Wanderers in the Champions League play-off final after their 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsbrough was enough to send them 2-1 overall.

Patrick Roberts scored in the injury to equalize Alex Neal’s men in the night after Lee Gregory gave the hosts the lead in the second half to equalize after the draw. But Roberts was the man of the moment, transforming Clark’s centering from close range to the delight of traveling supporters.

The Black Cats will face Wycombe, who finished sixth in the Ligue 1 table but overcame MK Dons 2-1 on two legs to retain their place in the Wembley match.
