Gotham Knights will not ship with any microtransactions when it launches for the PlayStation 5 on October 25, 2022. In addition, there will be no in-game purchases, no need to connect to the Internet to play the campaign in a single player, and you will only need to subscribe to PS Plus if you want to go online for some cooperative activities. All these points are confirmed on the official website of the game on the page with frequently asked questions.

The page reads: “No. Gotham Knights will not have in-game purchases or microtransactions.” It then explains how you will not need to be online to play the game alone, but you will obviously need to connect to the Internet if you want to use an online cooperative. The site also confirms that Gotham Knights will not have a local cooperative on the couch: “Co-op mode can only be played online with an Internet connection.” PS Plus membership is required to reunite with a friend online, but will not you can play with friends on other systems through cross game. The “not currently planned” feature.

Today was some info about the Gotham Knights, led by an extensive 13-minute gameplay demonstration. It was also announced that the PS4 version was canceled “to give players the best possible gaming experience”.
