Pixel Buds Pro specifications and battery life

Google today announced the Pixel Buds Pro in a slightly unexpected revelation. The $ 199 headphones are Google’s first to support active noise reduction, and we have a bunch of details about the specs and impressive battery life of the Pixel Buds Pro before launch.

Pixel Buds Pro is a premium product in all areas, replacing Pixel Buds from 2020. As such, you will find all the same features as the original Pixel Buds of this new Pro model. This includes wireless charging, Google Assistant with Hey Google support, and real-time translation. The touchpad can also control the volume, unlike the more affordable Pixel Buds A-Series.

Under the hood, Google uses a fully customized audio processor for the Pixel Buds Pro, primarily to support active noise reduction. The chip has six cores and an algorithm created by Google, all built by Google’s internal audio team that the company builds. The headphones rely on 11 mm drivers and have “active pressure relief” to avoid the feeling of clogging.

Pixel Buds Pro supports active noise reduction, combined with “molding” ear tips, which should help the noise reduction feel a little more effective. The headset connects to your phone or other Bluetooth 5.0 devices and can connect to multiple devices at once. Surround audio will also be supported after startup.

The battery life of the Pixel Buds Pro is estimated at up to 31 hours in total or 20 hours with ANC on. The headphones themselves are said to last seven hours with the ANC on and 11 hours with the feature off. This will outperform Google’s competition. Charging is via USB-C, although no cable is included or wirelessly with Qi chargers or phones that support reverse wireless charging.

Pixel Buds Pro will go on sale for $ 199 in July.
