A lunar eclipse on Sunday night, probably visible as a forecast for clear skies

As it is now, Mother Nature will be collaborating this weekend to allow a decent view of the lunar eclipse on Sunday night.

The eclipse will last or more than five hours, but will be with us during a period when most sleep soundly. It starts at 23:02 and ends at 4:20, with a maximum visibility of 1:41.

Mike Vandenberg of Gander’s meteorological service says the forecast looks good.

The sky should be clear over the whole island, he says.
