Britney Spears has announced that she has lost her “miracle baby” with which she was pregnant.
The 40-year-old star took to Instagram on Saturday to share the devastating news.
“It is with the deepest sadness that we must announce that we have lost our miraculous baby in early pregnancy,” she said in a joint statement with her fiancé Sam Asgari.

“It’s a devastating moment for every parent. We may have had to wait to announce as we moved on, but we were too excited to share the good news.

Spears announced her pregnancy via Instagram in April, sharing an image of a pink tea cup and flowers with a long caption.

“I lost so much weight to go on my trip to Maui just to get them back,” she began. I thought, “Oh, what happened to my stomach?” My husband said, “No, you’re stupid pregnant with food,” referring to Asgari himself28.
“So, I got a pregnancy test and I’m going to have a baby.”

The star He went on to say, “Obviously I’m not going out that much because my father is shooting me for his money, which unfortunately is already the case. It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression. I have to say it’s absolutely awful.”

Spears concluded: “This time I will do yoga every day !!! Spreading a lot of joy and love.
Spears shared her two sons, Sean, 16, and Jaden, 15, with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Spears mentioned in the past that she was open to having more children. In an Instagram post she shared in November, the pop star said she wanted to add a little girl to her family.
“I think I have another baby !!!” she signed the post. “I wonder if this is a girl… she’s on her toes and reaching for something… that’s for sure !!!!”

In June 2021, she mentioned that she had an IUD during her conservation and that her conservators did not allow her to “go to the doctor and get it out.”
Spears’ conservation was terminated in November. Spears and Asgari met in 2016 on the set of her video for the song “Slumber Party”.
