What to expect and when

Sunday night will be cool and cool with temperatures up to 40.

Sunday night becomes mostly cloudy and cool. The lowest at night will be until the low 30s.

The cold air stays from Sunday to Monday. This is key because our next frontal system is coming. When this happens, it will be cloudy for the start of the morning journey. By mid-morning, these clouds produce snow.

The rest of the morning and afternoon and evening will be snow, rain and cold. Here’s a more specific snow schedule for you and your family on Monday:

Until 11 o’clock: Cold, cloudy and dry.

from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Snow is coming from the south. Cities south of I-94, in Lenaui and Monroe counties, get their first scales. Temperatures will be up to 30.

14:00 to 15:00: Snow is engulfing Detroit and all of southeastern Michigan from the thumb to the Michigan-Ohio border. Temperatures are low and medium 30.

After 3 p.m.: Constant light snow falls in Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan for afternoon travel and dinner. Temperatures in the middle and above 30.

Travel at noon and in the afternoon will be significantly disrupted, as snow will accumulate not only on lawns but also on highways, streets and sidewalks.

Here is a breakdown of the possible amounts of snow by the end of Monday:

Lenaui and Monroe County (our Southern Zone): Up to one or two inches of snow.

Washtenaw and Wayne counties (City of Detroit and south of 8 Mile and on I-94): Two inches of snow will be common for some locations receiving three inches in Ann Arbor and northeastern Washtenaw County, northwestern Wayne County (Plymouth, Redford, Livonia) and closer to 8 Mile Road in Detroit).

Livingston County and Auckland and Macomb counties north of 8 miles and south of M-59 / Hall Road: Two to three inches of snow.

North Auckland and North Macomb counties to I-69 (southern Lapeer and central and southern county of St. Clair): Three inches of snow will be common closer to M-59 / Hall Road. Four inches of snow is as close as possible to I-69.

Along I-69 and Thumb: Three to five inches of snow. For the counties of Lapeer, St. Clair and Sanilac issued a winter weather warning.

Tuesday morning will be less slippery with residual snowflakes. The afternoon will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny and cool. Afternoon temperatures will be around 40.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and mostly cloudy, but not so cold. The maximum will be between 50 and nearly 55. Rain arrives on Wednesday night.

Thursday will be warmer and brighter with partial sunny skies. The maximum values ​​reach the middle and upper 60’s.

Friday will be partly sunny and warm with rain showers. The maximum values ​​will be up to 60.

Saturday and Sunday will be much warmer than average. Partial sunny skies every day with maximum values ​​until the 70s. There is a chance of precipitation on Sunday.
