On the M6 ​​there are long delays after an accident between a motorcyclist and a car.

The incident happened just before 4 pm today (May 15) between intersections 33 for Lancaster and 32 for Broton.

The traffic on the southern lane is not moving, but an ambulance has arrived on the scene.

At 4:05 p.m., the Inrix traffic website said, “Two lanes closed and traffic slowed due to an accident on the M6 ​​Southbound from J33 A6 Preston Lancaster Road (Lancaster South / Garstang) to J32 M55 (Browton Interchange).”

But all three lanes were closed in minutes, according to the National Highways.

A spokesman said: “Traffic has been STOPPED on # M6 south in # Lancashire between J33 (for #Garstang) and J32 (for # M55 / #Blackpool) due to a collision with a car and a motorcycle.

“An air ambulance is on its way to the scene. Long delays increase as you get closer. ”

Delays are also increasing on the A6 because drivers are trying to avoid the highway.
