Ontario Provincial Police say two of three deaths following a house fire in the town of New Tecumsett are now being ruled homicides.
Forces say officers were called to a welfare check at the home on Dec. 26 and found a fire in the residence.
They say two people were found dead inside the home and another person was taken to a hospital where he died.
According to the police, the cause of death was not the house fire.
OPP say the deaths of a 48-year-old woman and a nine-year-old child have been confirmed as a homicide.
They say a 45-year-old man also died, and the investigation is ongoing.
