A section of Highway 401 was cordoned off by the Ontario Provincial Police due to a fire at a nearby camp.
On Wednesday, around 9:40 p.m., the OPP tweeted that the highway would be closed between Hespeler Road and Franklin Boulevard.
Cambridge Fire says the fire started in a campsite and no one was injured.
The regional police established that the fire was accidental, only a tent was damaged and they will not conduct an inspection.
On Thursday morning, Cambridge Fire confirmed they would be at the camp to determine the cause.
Around 4 a.m., the OPP tweeted that the highway had reopened.
