A Russian banker whose wife was jailed for trying to bribe police to arrest him wants her to pay child support – even though he is so rich he “doesn’t need” the money.
In the latest bitter dispute involving wealthy Russian expatriates living in so-called “Londontown”, Alexander Timokhin asked the High Court to order his ex-wife Anna Timokhin to provide financial support for their two children.
The children – one of whom is now an adult – live with their father in London and the court was told their mother has had no contact with them for four years since her imprisonment. Ms Justice Roberts, a family judge, said Timohin sought contributions from his ex-wife “on principle”.
