Every wall of the Rover Hotel in Lviv is inexplicably covered with pictures of Boris Johnson riding a bicycle. In fact, the entire theme of the hotel is dedicated to our former prime minister (and his bikes).
Sitting on my bed, Boris was staring at me in a striped hat; photo taken when he was Mayor of London. On the wall behind him, he waves, cheerfully perched on a Barclays ‘Boris’ bike, to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who rides alongside him in a suit.
The brickwork of the hotel corridor outside shows Boris on a bicycle next to the London Eye. A few doors down, Boris dismounts and adjusts his shoe into a bicycle helmet. Everywhere is Boris, Boris, Boris.
