A MAN has been arrested after a woman was seriously injured in a crash in Bradford last night (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at 7.06pm last night on Bradford Road near the junction of Airville Road in Shipley.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called to Bradford Road, Shipley, at 7.06pm on Sunday to reports of a serious collision.
“Officers attended the incident where a Renault Clio and a VW Golf collided.
“A woman in Clioto suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The driver of the VW Golf has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and drug driving. Investigations are ongoing.
A spokesman for Shipley fire station said: “One person was trapped and had to be freed. Her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.”
The woman suffered leg injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.
In addition to the police and ambulance, Shipley and Fairweather Green fire stations attended.
