Representative Ilhan Omar has been criticized for making fun of a video showing passengers singing Christian songs on a plane – and wondered what could happen if her Muslim family also held a “prayer” during flight.
The Minnesota Democrat shared a video showing two people singing spiritual songs on the EasyJet flight path, the Daily Dot reported.
“I think my family and I should have a prayer session the next time I’m on a plane. How do you think it will end? “Wrote a member of the Muslim Squad.
The video – titled “Worship of Jesus 30,000 Feet in the Air” – was shot and posted on Instagram on April 9 by Jack Jens Jr., who founded a group called Kingdom Realm Ministries, according to TMZ.
“#Jesus is taking over this flight,” he wrote.
Several Republicans have torn Omar apart to express anti-Christian sentiment, according to Fox News.

“Why do you hate Christians, Ilhan?” If the freedom of religion we enjoy here in America bothers you, don’t hesitate to pack up and return to Somalia, Sudan, or wherever you are. Take your brother with you, “tweeted Georgia congressional candidate Vernon Jones.
The candidate for the GOP Congress in Florida, Jose Castillo, said that “in America, Muslims can and can pray in public.”
He added in a tweet that if Omar wants a state in which Christians are not allowed to do the same [Omar] he must return to his own country, “he said, apparently referring to Somalia, where the naturalized US citizen was born.

Cecily Davis, who is seeking to defeat Omar in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, also tweeted her on Twitter, noting that “Qatar – a country you are very familiar with – performs Islamic prayers on the intercom before their planes take off.” .
She added: “They have a specific prayer area and the coordinates for Mecca are published on the screens. No problem. The problem is that you hate Christians, Jews and many Muslims.
According to TMZ, Jensz Jr. and Kingdom Realm Ministries have apparently traveled across Europe to support refugees leaving Ukraine amid the Russian invasion.
