A 39-year-old man from Pleasant Grove and a 44-year-old man from Stratford died after a car accident in Pleasant Grove, PEI
On May 19, around 7:00 pm, members of the Queens County RCMP, the North Shore Fire Department and Island EMS responded to a collision of a vehicle on Route 220 in Pleasant Grove, central PEI
In a press release, the RCMP said the crash was believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road and crashed into a tree.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation and an autopsy will be scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
A collision reconstruction specialist from the RCMP and a member of the PEI investigator’s office are supporting the ongoing investigation. Road 220 was closed for a short time and reopened later that evening.
