Former Trump aide Kelian Conway has harsh words against former President Jared Kushner’s son-in-law in his new memoirs.
On Sunday, The Washington Post reported an excerpt from Conway’s new book, Here’s the Deal: A Memoir, which recounts her experiences at Trump’s White House, where she served as a senior aide to former President Donald Trump.
According to The Post, Conway writes in his book that Kushner, a senior adviser to Trump, was an “insightful and calculating” individual and “a man with knowledgeable nods, questioning looks, and sidebar inquiries.”
According to Conway, Kushner also acted with the awareness that he was unlikely to be held responsible for any personnel or legislative disasters that occurred during his time, the newspaper reported.
“There was no topic for him to address outside of his experience. Criminal justice reform. Middle East. Southern and northern borders. Veterans and opioids. Big technology and small business, “she wrote in her book for The Post.
Criticizing Kushner’s sprawling portfolio, Conway wrote for each channel: “If the Martian attacks had been on the radar, he would have been happy to add them to his constantly prominent portfolio.”
“He would make sure you knew he had exiled the Martians to Uranus, and he insisted he didn’t care who was responsible,” she added.
According to The Post, Conway also claims that Kushner misunderstood the Constitution and believes that “all power not vested in the federal government is reserved for him.”
Kushner’s portfolio in the White House is known to cover a wide range of responsibilities, from the country’s COVID-19 response to an attempt to secure peace in the Middle East.
Conway’s criticism of Kushner is not the first time a former Trump aide has burdened him. Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s former spokesman, also criticized Kushner, calling him “Rasputin in a thin suit” in his 2021 book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now.”
Kushner’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.
