Fredericton and Gagetown were hit by flooding in New Brunswick on Monday.
Gagetown, a village on the west bank of the St. John River in Queens County, NB, is forecast to exceed flood levels by at least Thursday, according to the province’s five-day forecast for the lower St. John River.
Fredericton’s forecast indicates that it will return to lower levels than the floods by Tuesday.
No other communities along the river will be flooded in the next five days.
It’s still early days for the New Brunswick flood season. Last week, Saint-Hilaire became the first forecast for the community to reach a flood stage in 2022.
