Guilfoil arrived around 10 a.m. ET and was still meeting with commission investigators on Monday afternoon. CNN saw Gilfoil re-enter the boardroom after taking a short break from the interview.
Guilfoil is a key witness in the uprising of January 6, 2021. This morning, she was with then-President Donald Trump and was behind the scenes with him and other family members during the Stop the Theft rally at the ellipse. She was also one of the guest speakers at the rally.
In addition to his role in the campaign and during the rally, Guilfoyle also helped raise money for the organizers of the rally leading up to the event.
Guilfoil was summoned by the commission after it abruptly ended a previous interview with investigators in February. Guilfoil had agreed to be interviewed voluntarily, but was upset when her appearance was reported in the media and when she learned that committee members had been allowed to participate in the interview – a routine occurrence in Congressional investigations. The Commission called on her shortly afterwards.
CNN turned to Guilfoyle’s lawyer for comment.
Unlike several recent interviews with the committee, Gilfoil met in person with the committee in Washington.
Other family members, such as Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, both met with the commission virtually.
