Large alligators roam the neighborhood of Florida

VENICE, Florida (AP) – Sheriff’s deputies filmed a large alligator crawling through a Florida front yard before making its way into a community lake.

The video was shot Sunday morning in Venice, Florida, the Sarasota County Sheriff said in a Facebook post.

Deputies estimated that the alligator was about 3 meters long.

The sheriff’s office notified the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. They also warned neighbors to be vigilant because the alligator went down to Harrington Lake to bathe on Easter morning.

Venice is south of Tampa on the coast of the Persian Gulf of Florida.
