DF Barnes called Union’s comments “outright false” in the transfer of contracts with Vale

DF Barnes called FFAW-Unifor’s claims that Vale’s workforce would be paid 20 percent less “definitely wrong”.

According to the company, they are actively hiring up to 175 union employees from the local 585, according to them, “a fully comparable compensation package” with what they had before.

They say DF Barnes has been working at the Vale Long Harbor site with the union for 5 years and this contract is a combination of this work with maintenance services.
