Three other Tory MPs are telling Boris Johnson to resign News

Three Tory MPs have called on Boris Johnson to step down following Sue Gray’s report on the blocking parties in Whitehall, suggesting he lied to parliament and no longer enjoys public confidence.

Gray, a senior government official, revealed that the prime minister’s top aides were involved in planning parties that included drunkenness, fighting, karaoke and vomiting.

Johnson repeatedly denied there were any parties in the municipality and said he was confident no rules had been broken. Yesterday, he said he was not aware of the most serious violation of the rules and claimed that he was present at leaving drinks in working order.

Johnson said it was his “duty” as a leader to join in drinking, such as during the November blockade
