The student from the college St. Mary’s won a $ 36,000 scholarship

Adam Morgenstern, a graduate of St. Mary’s College, has received a $ 36,000 academic scholarship from the founders of Guelph-Humber University for four years

St. Mary’s College (SMC) has announced that Adam Morgenstern, who is part of the 2022 class, has received a $ 36,000 academic fellowship from the founders of Guelph-Humber University for four years.

According to a press release, Morgenstern has been a student trustee of the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) for the past two years. He was also co-chair of the Student Senate and a member of the SMC Student Council.

With this scholarship, Morgenstern hopes there will be less financial worries and “more time and energy” to get involved in the learning and school community.

Graduates of St. Mary’s College (SMC) is excited about the school’s first personal graduation in two years on June 28, and it has become much easier for a graduate knight looking forward to his high school education.

Adam Morgenstern, part of the 2022 class, was awarded a $ 36,000 scholarship to the founders of Guelph-Humber University for four years.

“I was ecstatic when I was told that I had been selected as a scholarship holder. I applied for the award because by entering Guelph-Humber, I want to make the most of my university experience and I want to make a difference. With this scholarship, I will have less attention to financial problems and I will have more time and energy to be included in my educational and school community, “Morgenstern said.

“This is great news for a wonderful student. Adam has been an excellent leader at St. Mary’s College in many areas, and we are so proud to have played a role in allowing him to take advantage of this as he moves on to university. For Adam, receiving this award is proof of his determination and the guidance he received from our team of educators, “said Colleen Hannah, director of St. Mary’s College.

For the past two years, Morgenstern has been trustee of the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB). He was also co-chair of the Student Senate and a member of the SMC Student Council. In addition to these roles, Morgenstern was the Media Design Coordinator on the Executive Board of the Ontario Student Trustees Association and part of the Association’s Communications and Justice and Involvement Working Groups. He also participates in football, cross country, athletics and badminton.

These managerial roles have made Morgenstern want to be involved in a similar way in post-secondary school life.

“I hope to join the student administration at Guelph Humber and participate in the organization of the annual conference and EMERGE magazine. I will look for opportunities to continue my social advocacy and make a difference in my community, “Morgenstern said.

“We are very proud of Adam for receiving this prestigious scholarship. I had the opportunity to observe and work closely with Adam during his tenure as student trustee and student senator, co-chair, and he showed great maturity. This scholarship is a well-deserved honor and we wish him all the best in his path after high school, “said Danny Vioto, Director of Education at HSCDSB.

Morgenstern has joined the four-year media and communication research program. He aims to receive a bachelor’s degree with honors in applied arts in media and communication studies from the University of Guelph and a degree in media communications from Humber College.
