A road was closed for several hours after a “suspicious device” was found in an apartment.
Merseyside police rushed to Worcester Road, near the Derby Park in Butle, at about 6:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, as part of an ongoing investigation. Once at the scene, officers found a “suspicious device” in a home on the road.
Officers set up a cordon and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to the scene as a precautionary measure.

Several police patrol cars and matrix vans were spotted within the cordon, and video footage from eyewitnesses showed police searching the area.
Since then, the bomb crew has left the property and the cordon has been removed. A Merseyside police spokesman said investigations were ongoing.
