The search for missing men enters on the fifth day

The search for two missing men continues after their plane disappeared about 60 kilometers north of South last Thursday.

According to the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Center’s Twitter page, the launch of the search and rescue planes was postponed today due to bad weather and icing of the plane at night.

The RCAF CP140 Aurora Long Range Patrol aircraft joined the search for the missing aircraft. This particular aircraft is equipped with advanced sensors and cameras to aid search efforts.

JRCC Trenton requires if anyone sees a plane flying on Highway 17 from Wawa south to Sault Ste. Marie on April 14 around 6:00 pm to contact the search headquarters at 613-966-1178.
