Two young men were approached by a man driving a white van, the Cochrane RCMP said

Mounties is investigating a second lure incident in the city of Cochrane, which they say happened just four days after a similar report this week.

The Cochrane RCMP says that around 3:40 pm on June 2, two boys, aged eight and 11, were walking in the community when a suspicious man driving a white van approached them.

“The young people managed to escape and seek help from a parent,” police said, adding that the man was seen driving past Carolina Crescent.

It is described as:

  • Light skin;
  • Orange / red hair with a beard; and
  • From 40 to 50 years.

Earlier this week, the RCMP notified the public of a similar incident involving an 11-year-old girl approached by a man driving a van.

Police are asking anyone who has information about this latest incident, including any video surveillance footage or doorbell taken by Carolina Crescent, to contact them by calling 403-851-8000.
