An 18-year-old driver has been arrested in connection with the fatal crash in Brampton in April

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal clash in Brampton nearly two months ago.

On the evening of April 13, ambulances were called to the intersection of Countryside and Mcvean after a collision with two vehicles.

Police in Peel said a passenger in one of the vehicles, a 61-year-old woman, was taken to hospital, where she was found dead.

As a result of the accident, the driver of another vehicle was slightly injured.

Police said on Friday that one of the drivers involved, Inderdip Singh Kandola, had been arrested earlier this week and charged with a dangerous operation that killed him.

Police say he has been released and will appear in court at a later date.

Police continue to ask anyone with information to contact the Bureau of Major Clashes at 905-453-2121 ext. 3710 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
