A pedestrian was hit after an alleged stumbling block on McLeod’s path

A 20-year-old man is in a life-threatening hospital after being hit by the mirror of a passing truck on McLeod’s path.

Police say a pickup truck was traveling south on block 5500 of the Macleod Trail shortly after 6pm on Thursday when it collided with a pedestrian who entered the road.

During the initial inspection, it was established that the pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk, stumbled and entered the roadway.

The driver of the pickup, a 40-year-old man who was not injured in the crash, remained on the scene after the collision.

Speed ​​and injury are not presumed factors in the collision.
