Amazing photos of the launch and mission of private astronaut Ax-1 on SpaceX

On April 8, 2022, SpaceX and the Houston-based company Axiom Space made history with the release of Ax-1the first entirely private mission to International Space Station.

SpaceX launched the four-member crew on a 10-day mission to space, which included an 8-day stay aboard the space station. The crew was commanded by former NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Allegria and additionally included pilot Larry Connor, mission specialist Mark Patti and mission specialist Eitan Stibe. The crew aboard SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavor from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida.

The mission is commanded by Lopez-Allegria, who is both a former NASA astronaut and a current Axiom employee, and has not paid for his place. However, the three other passengers on the private flight reportedly paid a total of $ 55 million for the trip.
