Samsung launches its new Galaxy Book 2 in Canada today. The laptop joins the leading range of computers along with the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 2 Pro.
Samsung confirms that the Galaxy Book 2 has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display that provides high resolution, whether it’s streaming or browsing the web. The laptop is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core processor. Galaxy Book 2 comes with support for Core i5 or Core i7. The laptop also has LPDDR4x memory
In addition, the Galaxy Book 2 has a 54Wh battery. Although the company did not specify a rough battery life, Samsung confirms that it takes 30 minutes to charge 40 percent. In addition, Samsung is moving its universal charger from previous Galaxy devices.
In addition, the device comes with support for Windows 11 and Samsung’s Knox security system, which protects user privacy. The device can be protected by scanning a fingerprint used to unlock the laptop.
When looking at the ports, users will find two USB-C ports, two USB 3.2, HDMI port, micro SD support, HP and Kensington Lock.
Connectivity within the Galaxy ecosystem seems to be a focus for Samsung as well. The company confirms that users can sync the laptop with a Galaxy smartphone via Link to Windows. Samsung has even updated Quick Share and merged it with Link Sharing. Galaxy Book Smart Switch can also help transfer old data, photos and more from older computers to Galaxy Book 2.
Finally, the laptop is another example of Samsung’s commitment to sustainability. Minimizing its footprint on the environment, the laptop is made from recycled materials such as fishing nets to produce environmentally friendly material used for the touchpad holder and inner bracket.
Graphite-colored Galaxy Book 2 is now available on Samsung’s website, as well as all major retailers in Canada. It starts at $ 989.99 for a 256GB i5-enabled model. The i7 is available for $ 1,119.99.
