Community members and the RCMP are looking for a five-year-old boy who went missing on Tuesday afternoon.
Frank Young was last seen at his home on Red Earth Cree Nation at 12:30 p.m. He may also have been seen at the local playground around 3:30 p.m. Red Earth Cree Nation is located about 300 km northeast of Saskatoon.
The boy was last seen wearing rubber boots, green pajamas and a navy blue jacket.
In a news release Wednesday morning, the RCMP said officials and community members were still searching.
Searchers went from door to door in the community, but the boy was not found.
The RCMP plans to conduct an air search of the area today. They said the cold weather, snow and wind were very worrying for those looking for Young.
Police do not believe the child was abducted and say the Amber Alert criteria were not met.
Frank is four feet tall, weighs 66 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Carrot River RCMP at 306-768-1200.
