An intercepted call between a frustrated Russian soldier and his angry mother revealed how soldiers were encouraged by their families to kill civilians and even children, according to Ukrainian authorities.
The phone call, tracked by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and published in its telegram channel, gives an idea of the pressure exerted on young Russian men to continue the war against the “fascists”, the statement said.
“Son, don’t fall,” said the soldier’s mother. “If you only saw what they were doing, you would know you were doing a great job there. Don’t forget it and tell everyone the same thing. ”
