Protesters again blocked traffic on the Trans-Canadian Highway in protest of the old logging, this time on the Trans-Canadian Highway.
The group, called Save Old Growth, said it intended to block north traffic on Malahat during the afternoon trip, around 3:15 p.m.
At around 3:30 p.m., protesters appeared on the highway near West Shore Parkway. Cameras on the Drive BC highway showed supported traffic extending down the northern lanes of the highway all the way to Spencer Road.
Photos from the site of the blockade show that demonstrators have erected a barrier in the middle of the roadway.
On April 15, the group blocked the trans-Canadian highway in Langford around 5:30 p.m.
