Surrey’s RCMP said it was investigating two separate reports of partial human remains found in the Whalley area, believed to be from the same person.
The first reported case was on Sunday, when Mounties was called to the 13,400-block Hilton Road.
Investigators say the man found the remains in some bushes in the area shortly before 9 a.m. PT.
On Tuesday afternoon, police said they had received a new report of human remains found in block 10600 on 135A Street, just over a kilometer away.
Mountis says the remains have not yet been identified, but believe both crime scenes involve the same victim.
The Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit is now investigating the BC Coroners Service case.
