The couple is believed to have had a romantic relationship at some point.
Facebook posts from May 2020 show a period of about ten days during which they flirted in the comments section of her images.
The publications were just two weeks before Gaal’s husband announced that she had disappeared briefly on May 29, 2020, and also at the same time as she was learning to speak Spanish.
On Thursday, Bonola was taken to District 112 in Forest Hills, Queens, to be taken for treatment.
The master is believed to live in Richmond Hill, a neighborhood not far from Gaal’s home, which she shares with her husband Howard and their two sons.
Shortly afterwards, he returned home. It is not clear how much contact the couple had afterwards, on social media or in real life. New York City police will hold a press briefing at 11:30 a.m. later today.
Bonola is believed to be in custody at the 112th Precinct in Queens.

It is believed that this is the killer of Orsol Gaal, who dragged her body on the sidewalk after stabbing her nearly 60 times in her basement in Queens on Saturday
These are the latest known movements of 51-year-old Orsola Gaal, who was stabbed to death in the early hours of Saturday morning. David Bonola, 44, has already been charged with her murder
Police sources, quoted by NBC, say he is the suspected “master” who is believed to have had access to the home. Others, quoted by The New York Daily News, say the couple has a relationship.
It is unclear where he was arrested, but he is believed to have made full confessions after being detained.
He is from Richmond Hill, a neighborhood in Queens, a stone’s throw from where Gaal lived with her family. Detectives believe the couple quarreled inside before Bonola killed her.
There have been confusing reports about where exactly in the home she was attacked – some sources say evidence points to a fight on the first floor, but others say she was killed in the basement of the home.
Gaal had spent Friday night at a show at the Lincoln Center in Manhattan with friends.
She then returned to Queens before 11pm, stopping for a drink at Forest Hills Station House, where there was a Moscow mule. Then she went home to Juneau Street.
It is unclear whether her killer was already at home or released after that, but at 12:40 p.m., she was stabbed 58 times in the neck, torso and arm.
Her 13-year-old son Leo was upstairs at the time. At 4:11 in the morning, the suspect took Gaal’s body out of the house in a luggage bag.
He was filmed racing past houses, dragging him after him, before dumping him 0.5 miles from the country on a busy road.
Gaal with his sons, 17-year-old Jamie and 13-year-old Leo, and husband Howard Klein on Christmas Eve 2021.
Klein’s family home remained closed Wednesday morning with multiple NYPD vehicles parked outside
The next morning he was found walking by dogs, who called the police. The cops then followed a trail of blood left by the towed bag back to Gaal’s home.
They found Leo inside unharmed and took him in for questioning by handcuffing him before releasing him later that day.
Gaal Howard’s husband and her older son, Jamie, who had been to the West Bank, rushed back. They have not seen or heard from them since.
In the week following her death, there were numerous reports based on unnamed police sources that Gaal had an affair.
Cops focused on an unidentified craftsman – now believed to be Bonola – who they said knew how to move around the house and may even have had access to a spare key.
Whoever killed her, they said, did not plan it and left a “negligent” crime scene that probably contained the killer’s DNA.
He left a blood trail five blocks from the house. It was like a trail of bread crumbs.
“If you want to kill someone, try to make them a little cleaner, be a little more prepared. He didn’t go with anything to move her body. He took something from the house.
“I’m sure there is a lot of DNA with this type of blood. The killer’s DNA must be in that blood. This is not a clear scene, “a source told The New York Post on Tuesday night.
Neighbors and friends describe Gaal as a loving mother dedicated to her husband and children.
