Florida’s Disney Disability Briefing Bill Sent to Governor DeSantis for Signature

Florida lawmakers have finally approved a bill that would end a special tax district that allows Walt Disney to manage the land where its theme parks are located, sending the measure to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has made it clear sign.

The Republican House passed Bill 70-38 on Thursday, a day after the Senate approved it 23-16. Mr DeSantis called on lawmakers to take action at a special session he convened this week after a pairing with Disney over the company’s opposition to legislation restricting classroom learning on gender and sexuality.
