Cancel culture comes to Truth Social

As he prepares for today’s hearing of an elected committee, Adam Kinzinger reacted to a report that Truth Social sanctioned users who shared news from a televised session on his panel last Thursday.

The social network commissioned by the former president had an unstable start, overshadowed by technical problems, funding obstacles and the departure of top staff, but as Mr Trump finally began posting on his own, it seems more even.

The head of Trump’s campaign to testify

Among the witnesses who will appear at the committee’s hearing on January 6 today will be Bill Stipen, who was the last chairman of Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.

Mr Stepien, who was described in the letter of summons of 8 November by the chairman of the committee, Mr Thompson, is said to have circulated a communication which “includes the promotion of certain false allegations concerning voting machines, despite an internal note in which campaign officials determined that such allegations were untrue. “

He will appear alongside Chris Stewworth, a former political editor at Fox News, who was fired in 2021 after allowing the network to call Arizona for Joe Biden on election night, a move that made Mr Trump and his allies to get angry.

Schiff: The group has “credible evidence” that the Ministry of Justice must follow

Adam Schiff told ABC News yesterday that his committee had gathered enough evidence that the Justice Department should take seriously the opportunity to bring Donald Trump to a jury.

“Once evidence is gathered, the Department of Justice must decide whether it can prove to the jury beyond a reasonable doubt the guilt of the president or someone else,” Mr Schiff told CBS. “But they need to be investigated if there is credible evidence that I think there is.”

He added: “I would like to see the Ministry of Justice investigate any credible allegations of criminal activity by Donald Trump … There are certain actions, parts of these different lines of efforts to cancel the election, which I do not see evidence that The Ministry of Justice is investigating. “

Trump accuses Ivanka of perjury by rejecting her statement before the commission, says Mary Trump

Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump said the rejection of his daughter Ivanka’s testimony before the commission on January 6 by the former president could be considered an accusation she herself had falsely testified about.

Ms. Trump’s comments came in an interview with MSNBC on Sunday, RawStory reported.

“As we knew it would happen, Donald didn’t throw her completely under the bus. But I think it’s really important to note the fact that he said she unsubscribed, although that’s kind of rude, it’s not really the problem. He accuses her of perjury, really, “she said.

Asked if she expected this from the former president or his daughter, Ms. Trump said: “Exactly what I expected from both of them.” “I think Ivanka is following a very thin line,” she said.

“She didn’t necessarily say anything inflammatory, but as we thought it would happen, she decided she had to side with what the facts support, which, of course, is that the election was not stolen.
