A no-confidence vote on Boris Johnson over the Downing Street blockade parties is inevitable, a senior Tory MP has suggested.
Tobias Eloud, chairman of the defense selection committee, said the prime minister was facing a “steady stream” of resignations and no-confidence letters.
“I am afraid that now, not if a vote of confidence is taken,” he told BBC Radio 4 today program. “Unfortunately, the lack of discipline, focus and leadership in number 10 has led to this breach of trust with the British people. And it’s causing long-term damage to the party’s brand, and that’s proving hard to repair, even though good people are now number 10. “
