Dean Henderson is reportedly a target for Nottingham Forest after a potential move to Newcastle failed.
The Manchester United goalkeeper was strongly linked to joining the Magpies earlier in the window. He has reportedly held talks in the Northeast and wants to join Newcastle.
The men even claimed that Eddie Howe’s country was approaching a deal, but these rumors seemed beyond the border.
The Telegraph said earlier this month that while Newcastle admires Henderson, they will not sign it this summer. 90min also intervened in Henderson’s chat, claiming that Newcastle’s position was due to the arrival of sporting director Dan Ashworth.

They announced that the 51-year-old footballer has stopped a potential transfer from Old Trafford to St. James Park, as the club is pursuing other options. Since then, we have been associated with people like Robert Sanchez and Ian Somer.
As for Henderson, he could be on his way to City Ground.
Forrest wants Dean Henderson after the withdrawal of Newcastle
According to Fabrizio Romano, Forrest have made a move to sign the English national team.
He says Steve Cooper’s team is in talks to hire Henderson for the season with the option to buy him for £ 20 million.

That would be a great signature for Forrest, who will appear in the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
Romano adds that Henderson is considering the move. At this point, this is probably a good option.
The goalkeeper must play football in the first team if he has a chance to go to the World Cup this winter. He will not get that at Old Trafford, as David de Gea turns out to be the fixed object between the sticks.

Henderson could be a really good signature for Newcastle. He has the potential to be the magpies’ number one stopper for years to come.
But the goalkeeper is not an immediate problem for Eddie Howe, who will probably stay with Martin Dubravka next season. This is not a problem at all – the Slovak is an excellent goalkeeper and an important member of the team.
While Henderson’s move may make sense, there is clearly a reason Newcastle is no longer on fire. We hope this doesn’t turn out to be a mistake, whether he joins Forest or not.
