Our favorite screen dad moments in Bollywood

First, happy father’s day to all fathers. They say, “My father is my hero.” He is the pillar of our strength. The one-time solution to all our problems. And we can’t imagine our lives without him. Do you agree? Well, we must also agree that Bollywood has given us a few fatherly moments that we carry in our hearts without rent. There are a number of films that have shown us iconic father figures to appreciate. From movies ranging in different genres, Bollywood has given us some rare characters depicting the love, care and work of fathers. On Father’s Day, which will be celebrated on June 19 this year, let’s remember some of these iconic moments of Father in Bollywood.

1.Jayeshbhai Jordaar – Amazon Prime Video

In this 2022 film, Ranvir Singh describes the role of a father who opposes outdated social norms to save his wife and unborn daughter. The story is about discrimination against the girl and the killing of women, but with a comic twist. Jayesh stands out as a strong and kind father as he finds fun ways to save his family.

2. Peak – SonyLiv

Anyone who has seen Piku will remember the iconic connection shared between the protagonist Piku (played by Deepika Padukone) and her father (played by Amitabh Bachchan). We love the short, warm and sometimes fun conversations between this duo.

3. Angrezi Medium – Hotstar

Environment of Angrezi gave us one of the most iconic roles played by the late actor Irfan Khan. This 2020 film revolves around the story of a widower who makes an extra effort to fulfill his daughter’s dream of studying abroad.

4. Gunjan Saxena: The Girl from Cargill – Netflix

This film is based on Gunjan Saxena, India’s first female fighter pilot in the Cargill War. The main role is played by Janhvi Kapoor, and the role of her father is beautifully established by Pankaj Tripati. In the film we find a supportive and inspiring father in Pankaj Tripati.

5. dangal – Netflix

When the film came out in 2016, it became an iconic film not only because it portrays women in sports. The film also showed the role of a father (played by Aamir Khan) in motivating his daughters in a certain profession.
